South African traditional healer Gogo Maweni — real name Makgotso Lee-Anne Mokopo — has faced a lot of trolling online over the last few days. The famous sangoma went viral after photos of her mouth were shared by a Twitter users who wrote that she is “the most beautiful woman in the world”. His statement was greatly contested by other app users who advised him to get his eye sight checked.

Gogo Maweni if often at the centre of social media storms. This is because she openly advertises products that helps people “control” others.

In the past, she has also confessed to having used her “powers” to control others — in fact, she once revealed that she will turn her husband Sabelo Mgube into a tokoloshe should he die before her.

Netizens instantly headed to the comment section to ask her why she wasn’t travelling via broom — an obvious jab at the old belief that witches fly on brooms.

“Why can’t you simply use a broom,” one person wrote. To which she responded, “Because I have money to travel while you are stuck on Twitter ms*n* wegalkuni!”.
