‘God took me by surprise’ — Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadiki becomes the senior pastor of her church, and her husband is also a pastor.
Innocent has made her name in South Africa as an actress and presenter, but Innocent is probably more famous for having an identical twin. She got into the limelight when she was featured in SABC 1’s soap opera Skeem Saam as Sthoko. Ever since, the public has fallen in love with her and her twin sister, making them trend in social media for how they confuse people. Like any other twin set, Innocent and her sister Millicent have a strong bond and do many things together.

Apart from her acting career Innocent Sadiki is also a Pastor. In 2010 she got married to a pastor named Phindulo Sadiki. Her husband went on to start his own church three years into the marriage. Innocent, however, started the journey of being a preacher when she was 19 years old. Despite who she married, her love for the church has always been evident.

 

 

 

 

She started shooting a reality TV show called Pastor’s wives to get people to experience how it is like to be a preacher and a young celebrity church leader. People in her church don’t understand that she has other things that she does in her life. She says they expect her to be at home praying for them every hour of each day. Also, because of her acting career, many congregants begin to question her stand in church. She constantly shares her sermons on Instagram and has a Tik Tok account.

The 33-year-old leading lady, famous for playing Sthoko on the SABC 1 soapie, says being a pastor’s wife and young celebrity preacher with liberal views comes with some challenges. The Mamelodi-born star will be putting her private life on full display when she invites cameras into her home with husband Phindulo and two daughters.

Together with her twin sister, they have started a production company that teaches kids from deprived households how to act. She was a housemate in Big Brother Mzansi. Together with her sister, they were presenters on One Gospel. They also landed roles in a TV production called Big Break Legacy.

Innocent may be known as a strong, beautiful, and successful woman, but her life was not always smooth. She was brought into this world with much hope, but her world crashed when her mother died when she was four years old. Luckily, she had her twin sister, and the two went to live with their grandparents.
