South African actress Manaka Ranaka, best known for her role on Generations: The Legacy, playing ‘Lucy’. Recently took to her Instagram to share a video of her revealing, some of her contraceptives methods that one may use to prevent unwanted and unplanned pregnancy.
The actress said it easily and jokingly, as she will be going back to work, and will be looking to various ways to prevent yet another unplanned pregnancy, to disturb her journey back. As her character and portrayal of Lucy brings life to the life to the television drama, Generations: The Legacy.
In the video clip posted of her social media, she spoke about the contraceptives methods that she uses in her personal, consisting of both western and African remedies. The actress showed us pills, un-named ‘umuthi’ and ‘iphepho’, which she says will add her new found quest.
She showed us the un-named umuthi, which was in a plastic bag, which she says you have to boil in water and then drink. Helps with contraction as well, although it does not look particularly sweet to the tongue.
Manaka, then showed us iphepho, which said she will burn to convey a clear message to her ancestors that she does not want another child.
She also showed us a scented candle that she will burn after the iphepho, to make it smell nice and pleasant.
The actress seems to have already started to embark on her journey not to get pregnant, as she already taking her contraceptive pills,
It’s clear that the Generations: The Legacy, actress is not taking any chances and trying her best not to get pregnant.
