After trending on social media admitting that he’s been on drugs, he took it to himself to check into a drug facility. The 6 weeks long program that he had at Witpoort Recovery Centre in Brakp helped to bring some sense of hope into the actors life.

Losing everything

Innocent revealed that he spent over R500K on drugs. He lost his Mercedes Benz and a Gold 3 that he brought after his success as Bobo on Yizo Yizo and Baksteen on Tshisa. His journey with drugs dates back to 2000, where a friend introduced him to cocaine. His addiction slowly grew, but the money needed to support it started running short.

His message to you people

Closing of the interview he continued to emphasize that you can’t run away from your problems. “Drugs can kill and take away your dignity” – he said. He also pointed out that the youth must do everything in their power to avoid the temptation of taking drugs because once you get in, it’s difficult to let go. Personally, i can’t wait to see him overcoming every challenge he is faced with and getting back to acting.
