Former Uzalo actor Bonga Dlamini ‘Mkhonto’ makes his debut appearance on House of Zwide

Bonga Dlamini impressed a lot of House of Zwide viewers when he made an appearance on the show last night. The actor took on the role of Tiro and is about to blow many people’s minds with his charm. Tiro happens to be a charming friend of Laz, who he ropes in his bag of schemes to ask for a favor of a personal nature.

After Pearl broke down and told Laz that her love life was dead and that she was stood up by her blind date, Laz took it upon herself to make Pearl feel better. So Lazarus then called Tiro, her friend who is easy on the eyes and charming, and gave a proposition to him. In this proposition, Tira is supposed to charm Pearl and get her to go on a date with him; however, Laz will pay him for his time and the dates.

In the next episode shots, Tiro is seen walking into House of Zwide and, under the pretense of getting clothes, starts chatting Pearl up. Many viewers know this will end in a disaster for Laz and Pearl’s friendship, but it does not stop Laz from wanting to boost her friend’s confidence. Many prime-time television viewers have seen Bonga Dlamini before in other soapies and love him for his talent and finesse.

Dlamini’s rise to fame on television

This actor rose to fame in 2010 as one of the finalists in Isidingo’s talent search, a reality competition on SABC 3. After he cemented his name in the entertainment industry Bonga started getting many roles as an actor. Like any other actor, he began with a role in eKasi: Our stories for an episode called My Foreign Husband. After that, Dlamini blew up as he had roles in Isibaya and Ashes to Ashes. His first famous role was in Muvhango, playing Qhawe, a businessman, in 2019, which led him to land a starring role in Uzalo for several seasons.

Work in commercials and philanthropy

When he is not playing pretend in Television serials, Bonga does commercials with brands like Mzansipoli. In his downtime, he likes to play on the decks as a DJ and is also good at it. Like most financially stable people, Dlamini is into philanthropic work and gives back to the less fortunate in society.
