Former SABC radio presenters Dineo Ranaka joins new radio station

Two former SABC radio presenters are joining a new station as from the first of July this year.

It is that time of the year again when some radio stations are making changes in their line up of presenters.


 

 

 

Although most stations have long made changes as others did it in April 1st especially the SABC stations while others changed their line up in May and June but the Gauteng commercial station, Kaya FM is about to change it.

Kaya FM has released an official statement announcing changes in their line up.

These changes comes with new voices who will be joining the Kaya FM family and two of them are from SABC commerical radio station, Metro FM.

Dineo Ranaka, who left the South Africa’s number one commerical radio station, Metro FM a few weeks back is set to host a breakfast show and will co-host with a podcaster,Sol Phenduka.

Dineo Ranaka comes to Kaya FM to save the breakfast show which has been reported to be sinking. Her show will be called 959 breakfast.

The breakfast show was hosted by duo, legendary broadcaster, Thomas Msengana and comedian Skhumba Hlophe who are now moving to an evening show at 22:00 on weekdays to do a show called Last Call.

Another former Metro FM personality joining the station is Khaya Mthethwa who will be doing a Saturday show called Noted from 9am to 12pm.

Mthethwa was co-hosting a gospel show with Thami Ngubeni.

On the 9-12 slot, Tbose Mokwele returns to host Best T in the city while Sizwe Dhlomo also returns to the drive show.

The changes will come in effect on Friday, the 1st of July.
