Fundiswa Zwane, also known as Fundi, is not a new name in the limelight but rather a well known South African actress and businesswoman.

 

 

 

Fundiswa Zwane’s acting career picked up while still in school when she landed her first TV role gig. This move eventually created a platform for her to grow within the acting industry.

For Fundiswa Zwane acting is something that she has always wanted to do since she was a kid. The actress was set on turning her passion into a career from the time she was a teenager. Her career in Television started before she had finished her studies at Film School. Fundiswa Zwane’s age gets Mzansi talking after they realize that she is younger than the roles she takes on.

No doubt she got the plug and the bling too. She has been making all sorts of headlines of late. Her onscreen character of‘KaMadonsela’ made her one of the most celebrated star actresses in Mzansi.

While working on Generations-The Legacy, opportunities started to rise for the actress. She landed two roles in 2011. One was in SABC 1 drama series Divers Down and the other in the Mzansi Magic sitcom It’s for life. All these roles prepared her for more prominent roles in future.

We can all agree that the former Imbewu actress has Mzansi guessing when it comes to her age. To some viewers the actress might look young and to some she might seem older. However, many people were surprised to see that the former Imbewu actress is not as old as she appears on their screens.

Fundiswa’s age left many fans shocked.
In 2018 she got the chance to play KaMadonsela on Imbewu-The Seed. Fundiswa won viewers’ hearts as she slayed the role of Phakhade’s wife. In 2020 she made headlines after being fired from the etv drama series. It was rumoured that the actress asked for a raise, and the show producers fired her. Brenda Mhlongo replaced her, but viewers complained that Brenda failed to fill Fundiswa’s Shoes. They even went to the extent of threatening to boycott the show

Fundiswa Zwane is very good at playing characters of older women that viewers would think that she is in her late forties. However, Mzansi was shocked when they realized that the actress was born in 1985, making her 36 years old. The actress is not old enough to be her former on-screen daughter’s mother.

Community development
She also gives back to the community through development projects by especially involving young women. She began with young women within her home province of KwaZulu Natal. According to Fundi, her initiative is based on fighting for women because young women are at the tail end of initiatives.
