Fanele Zulu is a South African media personality known for being a presenter and actor. He is popular known from Durban Gen that airs on e.tv. Having been on Durban Gen, he played the role Dr Mnqobi who at that time appeared as an intern. Zulu is also a musician and his stage name is Zulu Black. He has worked with popular celebrities such as the late Mandla Maphumulo previously known as Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo.

Zulu opening up about how he became homeless said, “I was picked up from Park Station by a friend who had an audition that day and took me with him. He didn’t get the job because we were both auditioning for the same role”.

“Instead, he paid for a taxi and left me whole i was waiting for the second audition and i got the job. I found my bags outside his door when i got to his house, he said he wouldn’t stay with someone who had taken his job away from him. I went to Park Station because i didn’t know where to go and lived there for three months”, Zulu added.

It is so sad that Fanele is one of those who were not lucky and had to walk their way up to the top while it was difficult. However, it is good that he went through that so that he always works hard to make sure that he never goes back to where he comes from. He needed that experience for pushing him to fight for his dreams and become a better person.
