Following the funeral of the 21 children who died at Enyobeni the owner has been arrested

The Enyobeni tarven tragedy left a huge debate in South Africa. Usually when a person dies people want to blame somebody for their death, in the Enyobeni it was worse, this is after the public learnt that 21 young people died in the tarven their ages ranging from 13 years to 17 years. Therefore this meant the tarven owners allowed underage children in their premises breaking the law that comes with their liquor licence.

The legal age to consume alcohol in South Africa is 18 years old. When the funeral service was held last week the forensic expect ruled out the stampede allegation and informed the public that there was poison found in the bodies of this children and they have taken some of their clothes to Cape Town for further testing.

The police minister Bheki Cele assured the public that they were gonna make arrests but they were still gathering information so they make rightful arrests. President Ramaphosa also raised the concern that perharps the legal age to consume alcohol should be 21 years old and said that he was open for that debate.

This morning the public were informed that the Enyobeni tarven owner and two other employees were arrested. They are set to appear in court on Thursday. The owner is arrested for selling alcohol to minors whilst the employees charges are not known.

This tragic event should serve as a lesson to parents and children. Like the Pastor who was preaching parents should stop exposing their children to alcohol whilst children should refrain from places they are restricted from. There should be otherwise of fun than alcohol.
