Famous SA musician called out for going live at AKA’s private funeral

South Africans are still dealing with the sudden and extremely tragic death of Kiernan Forbes, widely known by his professional names ‘AKA’ ,The Supermega. AKA was fatally gunned down alongside his companion Tebello Mostoane on Florida Road in the City of Durban where he was set to perform at a club on Friday evening according to the IOL.

 

 

 

 

 

A memorial service that was open to the public and the media was held on the 17th of February 2023 to bid farewell to the successful rap icon. People and celebrities came from all corners of South Africa to pay their last respects at the Sandton Convention Center where the likes of DJ Tria and Langa took to the stage to perform.

AKA would be laid to rest on the 18th of February 2023 at West Park cemetery in Johannesburg. The family of the superstar decided on having an private funeral which would not be open to the public and the media personnel nor documentation.

Unfortunately, this wish was not respected as many videos and images from the funeral were leaked to the public. With one famous musician; DJ Oskido even going on a live stream for over 30 minutes, according to Briefly.com and essentially broadcasting part of the funeral to the public.

South Africans were not impressed by his actions with some of them saying: ” He likes being relevant “, and another saying : ” Oskido is obsessed with trending on social media”. Such an act was not expected from him which left a poor tastes in people’s mouths about the musician and producer.
