Family of Kwaito artist opened a case of robbery against him and his wife

The brawl in the family of a Durban musician over money has taken another toll now to the extent that it has reached the court.

Money is always the root of many fights within the families and it leads to hate.

Now, it has reached the family of a kwaito superstar, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’Maphumulo over the royalties from the reality show, Uthando Lodumo.

Mampintsha’s sister, Pinky Gumede, stated that they have taken a decision to dump the show which is about the life of Mampintsha and his wife, a singer as well, Bongekile ‘Babes Wodumo’ Smelane.

Apparently the Maphumulo family got irritated after they were not paid the money that they were agreed to in the past season.

Despite having shot other episodes in the second season, Pinky said that they have decided not to proceed to shoot other episodes because Mampintsha and Babes alongside the production company are now not being clear about the money due to them.

She went on to say that from the beginning, she did not want to be part of the show but Mampintsha begged her to be part.

Pinky added by saying that Mampintsha even told her about other families of celebrities who makes lot of money for being part of the reality shows.

At the end, she agreed and she did not ask by that time and did not want to interrupt Mampintsha, however she says that no money has been paid to her for the first season.

This led to her having to refuse in doing the second season.

Pinky says she has opened a case in court and their matter is being handled by Sthembiso Ngubane Attorneys.

Pinky says she only received R10 000 and she has no idea what it was for.

Showmax confirmed that Uthando Lodumo season two will be airing very soon and nothing will stop.
