“Fake Mass Funeral And Empty Graves” — Ramaphosa Lands in Serious Criticism Once Again

The Enyobeni mass funeral attended by President Cyril Ramaphosa has been described as a fake mass funeral. The reasons being that some of the families of the victims had backed out of the planned mass funeral, opting for a more private funeral and burial for their deceased children. It was allegedly disclosed that prior to the date of the mass funeral, some families had taken their deceased children for burial, leaving just a few deceased children. Someone wrote, “Enyobeni fake funeral: what was Ramaphosa thinking? Some of the kids had already been buried, while others were expected to be buried later. But none were to be buried on the day that had been slated as the day of Enyobeni mass funeral. Not a single one of them”. Many people are criticizing president Cyril Ramaphosa, saying that he is obviously faking the mass funeral to paint a fake picture that he care. City Press lambasted the president for the fake mass funeral, describing it as unnecessary.

It was further disclosed that some of the bereaved families told the media they had not been consulted, and were therefore shocked to learn that Ramaphosa was in town for the funeral. It was one of the crassest displays of political chicanery and insensitivity. They noted that it was more of a political thing than a true mourning scene. This could be the main reason why some families opted out of the funeral, choosing a private family funeral for their deceased kids. Many of them do not even see the need of mass funeral. Why cannot, but ask who and who are inside the empty caskets? Again, why were many empty graves dug? This is somewhat a public show that president Cyril Ramaphosa cares. This is the reason people told him to visit Marikana widows first before coming to the funeral of the victims of the Enyobeni Tavern Tragedy if he actually claimed that he care for the people!
