Ex-PSL star ventures into farming

Fortunate for some they have had a second chance in life, after they decided to venture into a different career path post retirement from football. In the PSL era KZN born retired footballer Thabani Bhengu is one of the many known in the industry who is currently making a decent living in a different career field.

During his footballing days Thabani Bhengu played for Jomo Cosmos and retired from football while he was still in his early 20s. Post his retirement from football he decided to venture into farming and is currently the owner of Ndela Farming in his hometown province. From findings Bhengu does not only grow fresh produce on his farm but he also has a decent herd of livestocks which are available on sale.

Furthermore we have since went to learn that Thabani Bhengu has also provided employment opportunities to a number of locals in the area. According to sources we have since had the privilege to learn that the former footballer is not a small scale farmer but he tends to supply his fresh produce to some of the leading wholesale supermarkets in South Africa.

We recently caught up with this former footballer on Instagram with the aim of finding some of his pictures during his football days at Jomo Cosmos but as forthcoming as he was he is still in the process of getting back to us.
