Aubrey Poo is among the most accomplished entertainers in South Africa. He recently made headlines after joining the Mzansi soap opera Generations: The Legacy in the role of Khumo Moroka. So, who is he?


 

 

 

 

Aubrey Poo is a South African actor, TV personality, singer, and dancer. He is well known for his appearance in the SABC soapie Muhvango as Pelo Mohale and for hosting the SABC1 game show All You Need is Love.

He pursued his high school education at Pro Arte and subsequently enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology, formerly known as Pretoria Technikon. Aubrey successfully obtained a national diploma in drama in December 2000 upon graduation.

CAREER

Aubrey’s interest in acting started when he was a teen. He is popular for appearing in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango as Pelo Mohale. In the year 2002, he achieved recognition by receiving the Best Performance by a New Actor award for his portrayal in the highly praised production Play@Risk, which was under the direction of Megan Wilson. In the latest developments, Aubrey was announced in 2023 to join the popular South African Soap Opera, Generations: The Legacy playing Khumo Moroka. Poo’s character Khumo Moroka is a high-powered scion of the Moroka family, who is responsible for running their mining operations.

PERSONAL LIFE

The Mzansi actor has maintained his personal life away from the limelight. Aubrey has one child, a daughter called Noluthando born on 17 December. The pair maintain a close relationship with each other and they are often seen hanging out together.
