Nhlamulo and Vuvu’s situationship attracts an unlikely person
It’s been a few months since Lindiwe died, and we’ve seen her widower Nhlamulo struggle through his grief while juggling their sickly newborn daughter Larona and his two little sons.
Nhlamulo was drowning, so his Vuvu , who’s the mother of their two boys, stepped up and helped him get his life together and raise his children.
But this fortnight, Mary , one of Nhlamulo’s tenants at the commune, walks in on Nhlamulo and Vuvu having some “grownup time”.
As someone who loved Lindiwe, Mary finds this disrespectful – and she knows just the person to tattle to.
Mary immediately calls Lindiwe’s mother, Zinzile
Zinzi comes to Jo’burg for Larona’s christening, but she shows up early when Mary tells her about Nhlamulo and Vuvu.
She and Mary both disapprove of them living together and possibly having a romantic relationship. And she makes her feelings known to Vuvu.
Little Larona’s christening becomes a battleground in mid-March.
Zinzi is fighting for her late daughter’s memory as she feels that Vuvu wants to replace her in Larona’s life.
