Enyobeni Tavern Owner Out On Bail Without Even Going To Court

South Africans woke up to the devastating and disheartening nes about the deaths of 21 teenagers who died while dancimg and drinking alcohol at a tavern known as Enyobeni some fortnight ago, it was the most painful thing to read about when a 13 year old reportedly died in that fashion and many South Africans were wondering how could parents sleep when their 13 year old is not at home and they dont know where the child is, their parent ing skills were brought under the microscope as people could not believe that there are parents who were that reckless.

The kids were buried a week ago and this thing refuses to die down since it is yet to be announced as to what really killed those kids, but the police have reportedly managed to finally make arrests if reports have anything to go by, this will be a step in the right direction if reports are true.

 

According to reports, the owner of the tavern was arrested together with two of his employees, but reports suggests that they all have been released with the two employees out after paying R2000 fines, the owner has also been granted bail but the amount hasn’t been disclosed.

“The owner of Enyobeni tavern has been arrested for contravention of the Liquor Act. Part of the charges is selling or supplying alcohol to children under the age of 18. The owner is expected to appear in the East London magistrate court next Two employees were also arrested and given an option to pay a fine,” reports suggests.

It has also been reported thay the establishment is open but it is not operational until the Liquor Board finalise the investigations together with the South African Police Services, but as it stands, there is a possibility that the license could be revoked.
