Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee have been having nightmares following the gunning down of DJ Sumbody in November, last year. The recent killing of AKA added fuel to the fire.

 

 

 

Rapper Emtee said that has received a death threat saying,” Dj Sumbody is dead, You are next”. He said that he wants to beef up his security. TshisaLive reports him saying, “I received a message from this mysterious figure. I blocked him first time now he’s using another number,” he went on to share a Whatsapp screen shot with TimesLIVE, that reads,” You think you’re smart. I won’t leave a tiny stone unturned.”

Emtee grew up in Rockville, Soweto, where he was involved in talent shows. His career began at the age of 17 signed by Ambitious Entertainment and his debut hit single, “Roll Up” was released in 2015 to critical acclaim
