On Thursday, 24 August, Don Design – real name Tshediso Mokoko took to his Instagram Stories to wish the late celebrity chef, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane a “happy heavenly birthday” as he would have turned 42 had he been alive.

Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane died alongsiderapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes on 10 February outside Wish restaurant in Florida Road, Durban. The duo was shot and killed on the spot by an unknown gunman who was captured by CCTV Footage that showed the gunman approaching AKA who was standing with a group of his friends outside the restaurant.

Don Design was also seen in the CCTV Footage that was leaked on social media as he was part of AKA’s entourage on the day. After seeing the footage, a number of social media users were convinced that Don Design was involved in the plot to kill the rapper.

However, AKA’s parents Lynn and Tony do not sing the same tune and have urged the rapper’s fans and social media users to refrain from pointing fingers and let the murder investigation take its course. Don Design had also taken his time to express that he too was battling with the tragedy that took place on 10 February outside Wish restaurant.

“My heart is shattered and the past couple of days have been nothing short of surreal,” he said.

On Thursday, Don Design penned a birthday message to the late Tibz on his Instagram Stories.

“Happy Heavenly Bday Bhovino,” he wrote.
