Thapelo Sebogodi is a South African actor who is best known for his role as Khabzela on the popular mzansi magic soapie The river. Thapelo is the eldest son of former generations actor Seputla Sebogodi.


 

 

 

 

Most people were surprised to learn that Khabzela portrayed by Thapelo is Seputla Sebogodi’s biological son. Seputla made his name in the entertainment industry with his role as Kenneth Mashaba on SABC 1 soapie opera Generations. The Apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

Thapelo was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng. He enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology where he studied drama. Thereafter, he began auditioning for TV roles. Although his father is well known, Thapelo has never used his dad’s name for interviews and auditions, and few people knew he was Seputla’s son. He has made several appearances in various television shows, as well as theatre, plays. This celebrity family is the one that has gone under the raider.
