There are those actors who have disappeared on our screens in such a way that you’d swear they have never existed. Do you remember the SABC 1’s drama series; Home Affairs which was playing every Thursday night at 21:00? The cast included: Brenda Ngxoli, Nthati Moshesh, Vatiswa Ndara, Lerato Mvelase, Therese Benade and the late Macdonald Mathunjwa

 

 

 

 

 

 

Therese Benade is a South African actress, she was playing the character of Cherise van Tonder Home Affairs, from 2005-2009. She is also known for playing the title role in the kykNET drama series Song vir Katryn (2003-2005), which also aired on M-Net and SABC2.

Cherise was abused by her boyfriend who happened to be her baby daddy. She left her parents house and went to stay with her boyfriend; Daniel (not sure with the name) who introduced her into drugs.

After she left Home Affairs, she disappeared from acting industry. Surely some of yourselves where this talented actress could be. Well, I have seen a Sarie Netwerk’s article published on 01 March 2021, Therese getting married to this other man.
