DJ Tira, also known as Mthokozisi Khathi, was a well-known South African music producer and disc jockey when he was born on August 24, 1976, in KwaHlabisa. He established the Afrotainment recording facility. The disc jockey boasts of having worked in the entertainment business for more than two decades.

He established the Gqom music genre, which has helped him become popular on the Mzansi industry of music.
