South African musician DJ Tira — real name Mthokozi Khathi — has warned fellow musician DJ Maphorisa about working with Roll-Up hitmaker Emtee. This after Maphorisa headed to Twitter to ask his followers how he can get a hold of Emtee for a work opportunity. Taking to the comment section, DJ Tira complained about his experience with Emtee while sharing that the rapper needs to get his life in order.
The DJ also defended himself from Emtee’s fans who accused him of trying to block Emtee’s opportunities to progress.
DJ TIRA WARNS MAPHORISA AGAINST WORKING WITH EMTEE
It’s no secret that things haven’t exactly been going spectacular for local rapper Mthembeni Ndevu — stage name Emtee.
The musician shot to fame almost instantly but soon started making headline for things like woman abuse, drug abuse and even showing his private parts on a live stream.
Currently, he is going through a separation from his pregnant wife Nicole Chinsamy who also had him arrested for allegedly hitting her.Early today, Mnike hitmaker DJ Maphorisa headed to Twitter to ask fans how he can book the rapper.
“How do we book Emtee, pls help,” he wrote in a tweep.
Not long thereafter another popular South African musician, DJ Tira, headed to the comment section to warn Phori about working with Emtee.
According to him, Emtee was supposed to work on a music video with him but simply didn’t pitch.
“Emtee really disappointed me. We dropped a song with @DuncanSkuva, when we wanted to shoot the music video he disappeared, I have never heard from him since then. The music video never came out. But I wish him well, I hope he gets his house in order,” he wrote.Tira was soon accused by Emtee’s fans of trying to block his blessings.
“Tira this is so unnecessary why does it seem like you want to gatekeep aowa maan you too old for this,” one person wrote.
Defending himself, Tira responded that he wants the best for Emtee and hopes that he becomes responsible.
