Following Radio 2000’s yearly change, A Sbusiso Leope,known as DJ Sbu, has been introduced as one of the station’s new show hosts, according to The South African.
Local radio stations typically shuffle their lineups around this time of year, and this year has been no exception, with some state broadcaster stations announcing new voices on the air.
Radio 2000, South Africa’s premier national urban adult contemporary radio station, has announced its new lineup, which will take effect on April 1.After almost ten years away from radio, DJ Sbu is set to return with a bang as the new host of the breakfast show.With his promotion to the prime time slot, South Africa’s mornings will undoubtedly change as he introduces a new breakfast program alongside the current cast, which includes Lelo Mzaca as the sports anchor and Nathi Ndamase as co-presenter.
Listeners will be given the chance to name the show during its launch, with prizes up for grabs. The “No Name Breakfast Show” airs every day from 6 to 9 a.m. until then.Sbudah revealed on his Instagram page that he accepted the invitation to become a breakfast show presenter at Radio 2000. He expressed gratitude to his parents, friends, and DJ Glen, his radio idol:
