Taking to Twitter, the music producer equalizes the success of Afrobeats to Amapiano, as he claims the first is from Nigeria while piano is from South Africa.
“Afrobeats a from Nigeria, Amapiano a from South Africa,” he tweeted.
Later, he told fans that Amapiano is a genre of his own. However, this has left fans divided.

Well, Afrobeats is doing well in Nigeria and it’s reached the peak, as Afrobeats singer, Wizkid and Burna Boy win Grammy awards thus year, 2021. Davido was also announced to have the most viewed Afrobeats music video on YouTube with the song Fall, as it’s on 200 million views.
However, Amapiano is yet to bag a huge international win, but it’s gained recognition in some African countries like Nigeria, and it’s gradually reaching the international level.
