Bona Mugabe is the daughter of the late ruler of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe and she has filed for a divorce after nine years of marriage with husband, Simbarashe Mutsahuni. The exact wealth of president Robert Mugabe has always been something that people speculated over, however in light of the divorce of her daughter, the property listings that are indicated in court papers are worth almost $80 Million. In January Bona Mugabe filed for divorce from her husband who is a former airline pilot. The listings are clear to see that most of what they had belonged to Bona Mugabe. Simbarashe Mutsahuni listed properties that are entirely owned by Bona Mugabe and properties that own together, amongst the properties are expensive cars, large land plots for farming, and almost money in foreign currency that amounts to almost $1 Million in cash.

It is astonishing to see how the Mugabe family can live such lavish lives when many Zimbabweans are barely making enough to survive. The couple had over 21 residential properties in upstate Harare and 21 farms. One the properties that they own is valued at $40 Million and they also had a mansion in Dubai. Robert Mugabe’s official estate that was released to the public indicated that he only left behind $10 Million, 10 cars, one farm and only two houses. This is only a fraction of what his actual wealth was, and this can be proven by the lavish lifestyle that his wife and children live. Simbarashe Mutsahuni does not want to get divorced, however, if it does come down to it, his only request was to be allowed joint custody of the three children that they have and part of the assets that they owned together.
