Didintle Khunou Joins Generations The Legacy.
Generations: The Legacy is excited to announce that the captivating talent of Didintle Khunou will be gracing our screens from Mid-June.
This comes as after Muzi Mthabela and Ronnie Nyakale left the show.Actress Didintle Khunou is the latest star to join SABC 1’s Generations: The Legacy. Khunou is well known for some of her roles on Soon Comes Night on Netflix and A Soweto Love Story, just to name a few.
Khunou has won numerous awards and accolades for her work on stage and on screen. These include a Naledi and Broadway World Online Awards for her lead performance in The Colour Purple Musical.
Will appear in mid-June
She will be making her appearance on the show in mid-June. Khunou will play Tumelo Gcabashe, a high-powered financial expert with links to business and criminal elites.
The weekday soapie also wished Muzi Mthabela and Ronnie Nyakale well for their upcoming projects. Muzi Mthabela plays Nkosiyabo Cele and Ronnie Nyakale plays Cosmo Diale.
The two actors are said to be on an indefinite hiatus as they pursue other avenues for creative expression. Mthabela will be seen on the show until June 5 and will exit in a spicy storyline. Nyakale will be on the show until August 28.
Mthabela joined the soapie in 2021, shortly after his exit from e.TV’s axed show Imbewu, where he played the role of Menzi.
Mthabela this year joined Ukhozi FM. The station revealed the news when it announced the line-up for the 2024–2025 broadcasting season.
Mthabela hosts Ukhozi FM podcast
He has joined the station as one of the hosts of the station’s YouTube podcast called Ukhozi FM TV. The television star hosts the podcast alongside Neliswa Cele.
According to reports, Mthabela is said to be joining season two of Mzansi Magic’s My Brother’s Keeper as Mshengu’s brother. My Brother’s Keeper is produced by Rhythm World Productions, and was recently renewed for a second season.
Mthabela is reportedly set to be playing the role of Mqondisi Shabalala. He will make his dramatic entry in the show starting from May 10.
