More suspects are required to be captured in the defilement matter including a cop who supposedly got R500,000 from self-declared prophet Shepherd Bushiri and utilized it as a pay off to have assault charges dropped against her better half.
Brigadier Ruddy Resandt, who is positioned at the public Coordinated Wrongdoing Unit, and her better half Clifford Cornelius Resandt, who was the head of security for Bushiri, showed up in the Pretoria Justice’s Court on Thursday.
The court heard that further charged might be added to the matter and that further examinations were required. The matter was deferred to 13 April.
Resandt and her significant other were captured in December 2020 and accused of debasement and overcoming the closures of equity. As per the Public Arraigning Authority (NPA), Clifford was captured on 20 January 2018 for supposedly assaulting a minor.
“A measure of R500,000 was moved from Shepherd Bushiri Services to Blushing’s [Resandt] account on 22 January 2018, the sum thought about the guardians of the kid’s home credit account,” NPA representative Sipho Ngwema said.
“The very day when the cash reflected in the guardians’ record, the kid dropped the charges against the spouse. At the following court date, the matter was removed from the court.”
Both blamed were conceded bail for R15,000 each.
In January, opera news uncovered that after her first court appearance, Resandt was exposed to an inside police disciplinary hearing, where she was eventually given a token punishment.
