Bishop Benjamin Dube is a pastor and gospel musician. The father of three is part of spiritual praise music and also sings as an individual musician. He is one artist that realeses hits after hit in the gospel music scene. He has featured international gospel singing sensation Jakilyn Carr on one of his DVD recordings. He is father to the Dube brothers who are also in the gospel music scene.
Dr Rebecca Malope is one of South Africa’s biggest gospel musicians. She has been in the music industry since 1984 and has released more than 30 albums. The Isabela hit maker has hosted Its Gospel time on SABC 2 for more than 10 years and has been a guest judge on South African Idol. Not only is the good doctor known for her music but by her signature “Hallelujah” on interview.
Dr Rebecca and Bishop Dube have been honoured by the South African Gospel Awards by being given the life time achievement awards. On his Facebook page Bishop Dube shared the news that he and Dr Rebecca are the winners of the African Lifetime Achievement Awards of 2021.
They both deserve it, they’ve served the country with good music that touch people’s hearts. Music has a way to heal the broken hearted and I think it’s double for gospel music it uplifts the spirit so congratulations to Dr Rebecca and Bishop Dube.
