Congratulations, Thembi Mtshali-Jones receives an honorary doctorate from DUT

Dr. Thembi Mtshali-Jones, a cultural and creative practitioner, is being honored (72).

In their virtual autumn graduation on Monday, May 16th, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Visual and Performing Arts by the faculty of Arts and Design at Durban University of Technology (DUT).

 

 

 
Her peers have been congratulating her on her new achievement.

“Let it be, sincere congratulations to you dear sister,” wrote storyteller and poet Gcina Mhlophe.

Years of dedication and hard effort in raising the South African flag have paid off. “Siyakubongela Shalala.”

“Congratulations, mom ‘Ndlovu,’ Dr. Thembi Mtshali, we’re proud of you,” actor Vernon Sandile Dlamini remarked. You are deserving of so much more.”

“Congratulations beloved Thembi, we are and always have been so very delighted to be your friends,” commented author and filmmaker Sylvia Vollenhoven.

Mtshali-Jones also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to DUT for recognizing her talent.

“Thank you @dutartsanddesign and @dut official1 for this incredible award,” she wrote. The cat seemed to have escaped from the bag. ”

I am honored by all of the people who have congratulated me on reaching this milestone.” My road has been long and winding, with many struggles and triumphs along the way. This one is much more special because it came from my hometown.
