Selby Mkhize is a 32 years old South African actor and radio personality. He was born in 1989 and was raised in Amaouti, Verulam north of KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa. Selbeyonce and his siblings, brother Skhumbuso and sister Ayanda, were raised by their mother and their gogo, Agnes Mkhize, after his parents split. Their father was a womanizer and had lot of children (about 17 in number) with different women. Their father, Sipho Gina, later passed away from unknown illness and their mother, Zandile Mkhize, died from TB. The career of Selby was ignited by the casting agency he had joined upon arriving in Johannesburg. This opened doors for him to be casted as an extra on popular soapies such as Generations: the Legacy which inspired him to work hard. He then returned to Durban being inspired and ambitious, and he auditioned to be the voice of Gagasi FM breakfast show through recording an advert which was on stations high rotation.
