There is a new American movie which has recently been released and it stars some of the most amazing and incredible actors. A lot of people have waited for so long for this movie to premiere as many have seen the previews before it could be released. The name of the movie is known as The Woman King.

 

 

 

It is a 2022 American historical epic film about the Agojie, the all-female warrior unit who protected the West African kingdom of Dahomey during the 17th to 19th centuries. Set in the 1820s, the film stars Viola Davis as a general who trains the next generation of warriors to fight their enemies. The movie also stars Thuso Mbedu who is a South African actress turned international. She has appeared on so many films in South Africa as well as in America.

The star is making waves in Hollywood and a lot of people just love seeing her grow as an actress. In The Woman King, directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, Mbedu plays Nawi, the newest recruit to the Agojie, an all-women army of warriors that protected the African kingdom of Dahomey in what is now known as Benin. The star recently shared that the movie she has been working on with other phenomenal stars has finally been released, except for South African cinemas.

A lot of people were looking forward to watching her in action in this new movie but they mentioned that they can wait a little longer until the movie gets released in South African cinemas in the next few days. Congratulations poured in for this remarkable star on her latest big role in the new American movie. It seems like the star will be appearing on more Hollywood films.
