Vum Vum his maker Brown Dash real name Siphiwe Mpamile died in Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital 9 years ago, he spent 3 weeks in hospital after he was diagnosed with pneumonia and had liquids drained from his lungs the year before his passing The death of a parent and breadwinner is traumatic, often the people left behind suffer some sort of depression and heartache, death affects us differently.

Brown Dash worked closely with Dj Sbu AKA Mzekezeke (whether he wants to admit it or not), we love to see that Sbu has taken up the role of a father figure to these boys, he has stepped up to fill the shoes of a role model. Linda the first born son, is an aspiring Dj, music producer and Apparel Entrepreneur, while the second born son Kutlwano is a hip hop artist
