Coco Gauff wins her first Grand Slam four years after she burst onto the scene

American tennis sensation Coco Gauff has indeed proved that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Gauff burst onto the international tennis circuit assembly a fresh faced 15-year-old teenager at Wimbledon.

The unrated teen shook the world when she knocked out veteran campaigner Venus Williams in the fourth round.

The world immediately took notice and she built her profile each game at a time.

Fast forward that to 2023, Gauff has won had first major after she beat Sabalenka to claim the US Open.

But as she showed with her tacit approval of the climate change protests which disrupted her semi-final win, she is more than just a new sporting superstar.

Having gone down in the first set, there were little suggestions that she would rise from the ashes like a phoenix. But she claimed her throne.

It took her some four years to finally claim her throne and she is being tipped to win several more trophies in the long run.

Now as a Grand Slam tennis champion, Gauff will have a bigger platform and an even louder voice.

Former United States of America President Barack Obama was one of the first people to congratulate her.
