While he has faced bucket loads of criticism and ridiculing for stepping back into the political arena at his age, the party continues to gain support online.
A video of him “busting a move” has garnered hilarious reactions from social media users who have pointed out how he was too sick for prison a couple of years back but now has all the energy in the world. In 2021, ex-president Jacob Zuma was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment for contempt of court.
After spending only a two months behind bars, Zuma — who was 79 at the time — was released on medical parole.
He was later sent back to prison but released an hour later under South Africa’s remission process.
