Chicco Twala Breaks Silence On Senzo Meyiwa’s Death, Here Is What He Said.

Legendary music producer Chicco Sello Twala has expressed his disappointment and anxiety after his name was removed from the National Orders nomination list. In an interview with the Daily Sun, Twala claimed that a representative from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration approached him and requested his profile, citing that they had nominated him for the National Orders. However, when the nominations were eventually revealed, Twala’s name was omitted. He was later informed that the removal of his name was due to the ongoing murder investigation involving former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.

Twala, who is the father of one of the witnesses charged with firing the gun the night Meyiwa was killed, has denied any connection to the murder. Tumelo Madlala, a friend of Meyiwa, had previously claimed that Twala’s son killed Meyiwa during his testimony last year. However, Timothy Thobane, the defense attorney for defendants 1 through 4, revealed that Madlala’s statement was allegedly written by a police officer rather than Madlala himself.
