Noxolo Mathula is most known for her role as Lily Dongwe on the television series Uzalo. The Lily Dongwe character on Uzalo is a young woman from a low-income family who decides to join the police force in order to better her situation. She is MaDongwe’s daughter and Nonka’s cousin, and she is played by Thuthuka Mthembu in the part of Nonka.

 

 

 

 

The actress began by making brief cameo appearances on Uzalo and also worked in the company’s offices when her supervisor inquired as to whether she wanted to perform or whether she preferred office work. In the end, Noxolo chose acting, and she was offered a larger role on the soapie, which she portrays as “Lily.”

Lily places a high importance on family and may sometimes violate her morals in order to defend her family and friends; when the situation becomes tense, she is not afraid to employ lethal force in order to protect the defenseless and the abused. She was recently involved in an altercation with her cousin brother Njeza, who was in route to assaulting helpless Nosipho in front of the entire KwaMashu community when she opened fire. Even though she has dated detective Mondli Mdlalose – who is played by Thembinkosi Thwala – and received numerous praises from fellow officer Nyawo, Lily has yet to discover the right man for herself.
