Season 16 Idols SA winner Zama Khumalo went on the prestigious show, with the hope of securing a recording contract and bagging a whopping R 1 million price money; and she definitely got that.

Making her start up journey a breeze, she won an instant R1 million, R150 000 worth of the latest Samsung products, an all-new Toyota Starlet 1.4, R100 000 worth of fashion from Truworths, a Kymco Xciting 400 scooter worth R120 000 and R80 000 worth of musical instruments from Yamaha. The cherry on top was when she found love with one of the season 16 contender.

Zama found love on the very same datge she was performing on. The 19 year old Zama Khumalo found love in Brandon Dhludhlu. The duo have spent the New Year’s together at Brandoon’s hometown, Barberton, in Mpumalanga. They have confirmed and open up about their romance.

It is believed that their love journey begun in Theatre week, before the show could hit our screens on channel 161. This is a love journey that started 6 months ago. They made sure that they keep their romance a secret and made sure it doesn’t affect or distract the goal at hand.

Dhludhlu is currently promoting his debut single Uhambe featuring Duncan. He said his fans have sent him countless gifts while others have offered to bake for him.

Dhludhlu managed to make it to the Idols Season 16 top 3. He did not get enough votes to continue on with the show. His exit meant that girlfriend Zama was up against the famous and most loved Mr. Music.

“It was so beautiful and I feel like everything just happened so fast because now our families know each other. It was like I was paying lobola – but I wasn’t,” Dhludhlu said.
