He was born on August 26, 1985, to Brenda Fassie and a Big Dudes bandmate, who was also his father. Dumisane Ngubeni, the father of Bongani Fassie, played keyboards in the band, while Brenda Ngubeni sang lead. A lawyer was his mother’s dream. The majority of his childhood was spent living with his mother.

 

 

 

 

His ex-wife, Buhle Sangweni, gave birth to a daughter, Brenda Nombuso Fassie. In honor of his mother, he gave her her first name. They are no longer married and Bongani Fassie is taking care of their son alone. Bongani Jr. is also his son.

Bongani’s mother had recommended him to become a lawyer so that he could represent her in court, but Bongani had a natural talent for singing from an early age. Ishmael and Da L.E.S. are two of the three members of the Bongani Fassie group in Jozi. Prior to joining the Big Dudes, he was a member of the group. His instrument of choice is the congas and drums. Rise (2013) and African Boys (1996), as well as several songs and collaborations, have been released by the hip-hop icon.
