Simphiwe Nhlangulela is her full name, and she hails from the town of Tugela in the Kwa Zulu Natal area.

Simmy has been engaged in the music industry since 2017, and she has never been out of the limelight during that time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In her family, Simmy is the youngest of four children. In her previous life, she attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she majored in Social Sciences.

In 2019, she was awarded Record of the Year at the 25th South African Music Awards, as well as Best Female Vocalist at the South African Dance Music Awards.

The singer-songwriter has published two successful albums, the first of which was Tugela Fairly in 2018 and the second of which was Tugela Fairy (Made of Stars) in 2020. Tugela Fairy has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Afro Pop Album.

Sun-El Musician was one of the artists who took notice of her abilities and offered her a chance, and she did not disappoint.
