Cause of DJ DIMPLEZ’s sudden death revealed.

Once again, a gloomy cloud has descended over the local entertainment business.

Moreover, fans were shocked to hear of the death of businessman and hip-hop DJ Dimplez, who passed away just a week after the burial of hip-hop legend Riky Rick.

Dimplez, whose real name was Tumi Mooi, was well-known for producing and collaborating with hip-hop musicians, as well as organising the event Pop Bottles in cities such as Cape Town, Rustenburg, Durban, and Johannesburg.

According to a source, the DJ, who was originally from Diepkloof in Soweto, passed away on Saturday night while attending a private Barcardi home party.

Later, he was brought to the hospital.

An acquaintance said that “DJ Dimplez, whose true name is Tumi Mooi, fainted when he was performing at an event in Barcadi.”

His family issued a statement confirming his death, which read: “Boitumelo Athiel Mooi, better known as DJ Dimplez, died suddenly on March 6, 2022, after a severe cerebral hemorrhage.”

“We beg for your patience and understanding as we grieve Tumi’s untimely death,” the statement reads.

The news of his death sent shockwaves across the social media community.

Nikiwe Khoza expressed her surprise on Twitter, writing: “To say I’m startled would be an understatement. ” I’m baffled as to how folks are dying like flies in celebville; something is very wrong there. “May his soul rest in peace for all eternity.”

While Dimplez was not just one of Mzansi’s most beloved hip-hop musicians, his presence in the business was also a godsend to certain artists who were looking for a means to advance in their careers.

Sbo expressed his sorrow to his family and expressed gratitude to the DJ for giving him the opportunity to play on the Pop Bottles main stage.

“I’m taken aback, to say the least,” he said.

Senzo Maseko said that he was one of the most modest DJs he’d ever come across in his career.

“There is no doubt that Heaven has acquired an angel. Some of our hearts have been touched by him. “May his soul rest in peace,” he expressed his sentiments.

“We’ve just been in the country for three months and already SA hip hop has lost Citi Lyts, Riky Rick, and now DJ Dimplez,” Selina Mahlangu said on Twitter. This is quite difficult to accept. “May the spirits of those who have passed away rest in peace.”

Dimplez’s most recent single, Kub’hlungu, which featured Phantom Steeza, Touchline, Jillz, and Zandii J, was released in April of last year and is available on iTunes
