As previously reported Pearl has a moment on the latest episode of BET’s “Behind the Story.” Pearl again addressed the matter of constantly being dragged over being team “light-skinned.” In a three-minute rant of television time that we will never get back again, Mama Pantha let trolls have it. While the clip suggests that sis was bearing her heart to the world, she still managed to drag all those that are “jealous” over her fair complexion.

The clip shared on social media might have had people questioning whether they might have gone a little too hard on the sis. It was after watching the whole interview that tweeps went back on Twitter and started the real roasting of Pearl Thusi. This was for a variety of reasons, so let us start with the first one.

Pearl’s interviewing skills were again the question. Firstly, the interview was a part two special, which meant the exposition questions on Khanyi Mbau should have been completed during the first part. Therefore the idea that even in the second part she was still asking questions about Mandla Mthembu and Khanyi’s “Muvango” days- How sway?
Second, was again, Pearl’s interview skills. A matter that has been highlighted numerous times, is the matter of who is being interviewed and who is the interviewee. More than just the rant, Pearl had more screen time during the interview than Khanyi. Khanyi’s answers were more succinct and shorter than the questions that Pearl did. And when she was not asking questions, she was talking about “we,” instead of Khanyi as it was her interview. Again, how sway?
Lastly, was Pearl’s suggested tone deaf response to the matter of her complexion. No one condones bullying, but the matter of colourism far extends just Pearl. There are many fair actresses and entertainers that do not engage, or more accurately put, deny their privilege because of their complexion. But not Pearl, and again it is a matter of how sway?

Media personality Sipho “Psyfo” Ngwenya has revealed that he has lost two loved ones in a space of two months. The year 2020 has not been good for almost everyone in the entertainment industry and Psyfo can attest to that.

Having lost his grandmother to the vicious virus COVID-19, he also revealed that he lost his younger brother just two months after laying his granny to rest.

Announcing that his brother has passed away on Tuesday, Psyfo revealed that he is tired of being strong. “I lost my grandmother to COVID-19 2 months ago. My younger brother passed away on Tuesday. Being strong is a skill I am getting tired of,” he shared.

Friends and industry mates have taken to social media to send their heartfelt condolences to the presenter and his family.

Former fellow presenter Sade Giiberti wrote: “Condolences my bro. Words won’t make it better, and being strong can be extremely tiring. Just be. Feel. Mourn. Be angry. Be all the emotions you need to be. Sending you and your family so much love!”

DJ Dimplez wrote: “Ahh man sorry to hear that. Condolences to you and your family King.”

ProVerb commented: “Condolences my brother.”

Rapper Cassper Nyovest wrote: “Sorry bro. May God give you strength and healing. Condolences.”

Catherine reminded others that the virus is still very much with us, “I’m truly heartbroken to hear of such tragedy. Another stark reminder for everyone that this virus hasn’t taken leave. Level 1 in SA still requires us to be focussed and deliberate in our daily behaviour and actions to protect ourselves, our families & those around us.Thank you for all your kind messages,” he wrote.

Just recently, House music veteran Oskido also revealed that he has lost his father due to the novel Coronavirus.

“It’s with great sadness to let you know that I have lost my old man due to COVID19, a great man who inspired me to understand the value of life. So long Mdala, rest well. I will see you again in the next lifetime. You’ve shown us a way & shone the light Akwehlanga lungehlang,” he announced. He received the most heartfelt condolences from followers.

Oskido’s friend DJ Fresh, also conveyed his condolences to the family and thanked his late father for giving the world, Oskido.

“My friend and mentor @OskidoIBelieve has lost his Dad!! Please keep him and the Mdlongwa family in your thoughts and prayers!!! Every single time we met, I would thank him for giving us Oskido, coz through him, 1000s of careers were forged!! #RipNtateMdlongwa.” he tweeted.

Zikhulise owes SARS R204 million in outstanding taxes.According to a Tweep, the long-standing battle between SARS and Shauwn Mkhize’s company Zikhulise Cleaning Maintenance & Transport was heard at the Pretoria High Court, where a final liquidation order against the company. The application was brought by the SA Revenue Service for outstanding debts totalling about R204m, Mkhize had repeatedly stated that Sars was biased and acted in bad faith by declining to enter into a deferred payment arrangement but the court dismissed that claim.

“JUST IN: The North Gauteng High Court has ruled in favour of SARS and granted the taxman a final order to liquidate Shawn Mkhize’s company, Zikhulise Cleaning Maintenance and Transport Services, in order to recoup debt.
Zikhulise owes SARS R204 million in outstanding taxes.”SARS Commissioner, Edward Kieswetter welcomed the judgment and expressed SARS’ commitment to enforcing compliance against taxpayers who abuse the legal process in order to try and avoid their obligations.

“Sars will act within the law and will pursue without fear or favour any taxpayer who is bent on evading their legal obligations,”

Kieswetter was appalled that taxpayers…

“would through their carefully calibrated actions, seek to deprive poor and vulnerable South Africans who depend on state-funded social grants by not paying their taxes. This victory must send a clear and unambiguous message to all citizens that Sars will make it costly and hard for taxpayers who choose the path of non-compliance.”

Mam’Mkhize is popularly known for her hit reality tv show – Kwa Mam’Mkhize which was one of the biggest hits with South African viewers since it’s debut on DSTV channel Mzansi Magic. The show looks into the chronicles of the Mkhize/Mpisane family, as well as those closest to them.
