Ginimbi’s Mansion Will Be Turned Into A Hotel

Before dying Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure revealed to his family members that he would like his mansion in Domboshava to be turned into a hotel. This according to a close family member of his who informed News Day Life and Style.

Fallen businessman and socialite does not want anybody to live in his house. He instead informed his family that he would like to have a mansion or mausoleum so people could remember him long after his death. 

“You know with what has been talked about his wealth, (that he acquired it through unorthodox means), Ginimbi is on record saying no one would occupy his house. He told people that it should be turned into a hotel,” a family insider told the publication.

“He used to say he would want a mausoleum to be built for him such that he will always be remembered by many generations who would visit the hotel.” The family member then added that Ginimbi wanted a statue erected in his honour.

Ginimbi, died on Sunday morning along with his three friends, after his Rolls Royce collided with a Honda Fit along Legacy Way (formerly Borrowdale Road). His vehicle then crashed into a tree, causing the Rolls Royce to burst into flames. 

The owner of Dreams Nightlife club, who had just celebrated his 36th birthday, was coming back from fitness bunny  Mitchelle ‘Moana’ Umali’s birthday party. He died along with three other friends, Elish, Karim and the birthday girl Moana.

The business socialite was known for splashing his money in clubs, cars, houses, vacations etc. But one of the richest business figures in Zimbabwe had a heart and a soft spot for his country. Seeing that he also comes from an impoverished background, he found ways to give back to his country and empower the youth any possible way he can.

Here are some of the ways the tycoon has played his art in the betterment of society.

Celebs For Change
What started off as an initiative to change the country’s entertainment industry, transpired to become an initiative for the betterment of humanity.

Initially his main goal was to transform the entertainment industry and make it as big as that of neighbouring countries.

He then joined the show business full-time by getting his promoters license from the Nationals Arts Council and then proceeded to opening a nightclub. His promotion company ‘G Entertainment’ handled the performances.

Club Sankayi was a way to draw in celebrities, not only in Zimbabwe but from Africa. These celebrities would change the scenery in the country. In a better light, celebrities started coming together to raise funds for social ills affecting Southern Africa.

In South Africa he gathered celebrities to raise money and rebuild a dilapidated school. He held a function where celebrities pay for selfies with their favourite celebrity. He managed to raise almost R1 Million.

$40 000 for Gombwe
Dancehall pioneer Winky D had an album launch party for his project Gombwe. Ginimbi was the guest of honour and he made an astonishing move by purchasing the first copy of the album at a whopping $40 000.

It is the highest amount ever paid for an album launch.

Ginimbi’s Famous All White Birthday Party It was a night to remember

Fallen Zimbabwean renowned socialite and entrepreneur Ginimbi Kadungure, celebrated his birthday, about a month before his tragic accident, and he made sure to pull out all the stops again for a big affair.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Ginimbi did not let it put his plans on hold, of hosting a big birthday celebration and it was a glitzy all-white affair.

Ginimbi’s birthday bash was attended by his close friends, famous celebs, and entrepreneurs. Those who bagged an invite dressed to the nines and they adhered to the dressing code.

When you think of any event Ginimbi hosts, you think high class and luxury, and his celebrations are always the talk of the town. The wealthy socialite recently posted a snap posing outside his mansion and wished himself a happy birthday.

Ginimbi also recently posted a series of snaps on his Instagram account showing off his latest purchase, a Lamborgini and he captioned one of the pictures, “Welcome home my new toy.”

Black Coffee’s World-Class Status Confirmed…Again

If you have ever doubted his legendary status, then think again because Nkosinathi Maphumulo AKA Black Coffee is musical force to be reckoned with. He has once again made the DJ Mag Top 100 and in fashionable Black Coffee style, he is always somewhere in the top 20 if not top 10.

Black Coffee may have used the global lockdown as a time to relax and re-centre himself, given his extremely busy schedule and rather focus on the important things in life like his health, making music and family. The dynamic artist still found an opportunity to release the huge single ‘Ready For You’ on Ultra Music, featuring the vocals of Celeste, and live-streamed a DJ performance from the World Heritage Site, Sterkfontein Caves in South Africa, where human fossils millions of years old have been found. He also played for EXIT festival’s Life Stream, which asked viewers to donate to the UN World Food Programme.

Meanwhile, Black Coffee continued to develop his new streaming platform, which he says will launch soon.

“It’s something I’ve been working on for years, and during lockdown, I had time to concentrate on getting it out there. It’s basically a platform that I want to launch and help the music scene on the African continent. Our market is Africa first before we can concentrate on the world. Look out for GongBox!”

The DJ seems to be winning this year despite everything and he even managed to launch the Kwa-Zulu Natal Entertainment awards with his log-time friend and fellow producer, DJ Tira, together with controversial musician Sjava.

The Kwazulu Natal Entertainment Awards will be held on 15th of December 2020 at the Durban International Convention Centre, where the provinces top achievers will be awarded achievement trophies and cash prizes. All category winners will reportedly walk away with R100 000 and the overall winner R500 000 in cold hard cash.It’s no doubt that he keeps representing us on a global scale and that his success has been amazing to watch over the past decade. Despite his many issues in his persona life, Black Coffee is unmatched in his professional life and we are here for it.
