Prince Kaybee Gets Into A Heated Argument With Tweep She tried him…

Although claiming that his words have often been misunderstood, the Fetch Your Life creator has involved himself in a fair few arguments, especially with those who seek to spread hate on his page.

In a heated thread shared on Tuesday, 8 September 2020, the musician began by questioning the actions of Orlando Pirates’ player, Thembinkosi Lorch, who was charged with assaulting his girlfriend. In what appeared to be a message of disbelief, turned into what many interpreted to be a hypocritical statement, as he has previously worked closely with notorious rapper, Mampintsha, who was caught on camera physically abusing his girlfriend, Babes Wodumo.

One Tweep in particular, Cynthia Kele, clapped back at Prince Kaybee, and highlighted the fact that he had ignored the abuse of Mampintsha, but was seemly upset about Lorch – with both men being charged for the same crime. After fans began defending Prince Kaybee, he jumped in to ask them to leave Cynthia alone, and let her have her moment in the spotlight.

The young woman went on to accuse Prince Kaybee of not being consistent in his support of gender-based violence, and that he had granted leniency to Mampintsha purely based on the fact that he had worked with him. Her accusations did not sit well with Kaybee, who began exchanging insults with, whilst highlighting all that he has done to empower women.

He stated, “Apart from drawing eye brows every morning what have you done for women?”. Whilst listing his efforts to uplift women, he also announced, “I’m in talks with a beautiful friend of mine, we want to start a “FETCH YOUR LIFE ACADEMY” that totally breaks the rules and puts women first, you can bring your kids, it’s all love this side.”

The Tweep was left on read after Prince Kaybee exited out of the conversation, claiming that he wanted to only focus on positive vibes. I remember @PrinceKaybee_SA when he invited Mampintsha to the studio he mentioned that he spoke to him as a brother, and most ppl were against it but if Babes forgave him they why can’t he do the same and release a banger, yet most ignored that tweet, again Prince is against GBV.You see one thing about me is that I have the patience to take in all the insults you can ever throw at me, like I’m built like that but one thing I do not understand is when someone swears if they don’t get their way. Debates are not for everyone❤️

Black Coffee’s Tweets Get People Thinking The man has a point

Internationally-renowned musician, Black Coffee, has weighed in on the racial debacle surrounding Clicks and their offensive ad campaign which has sent South Africans into a state of uproar. The DJ didn’t directly speak on the issue, however his most recent tweet indicated at a possible solution which would end the outrage – an apology and forgiveness.

Black Coffee stated, “How do we forgive a generation than never apologized.”, and followed it up with an article which referenced Australia’s apology to the indigenous people. The article spoke up about the inappropriateness of the public towards the aboriginal people of Australia, and saw the government publicly apologises to their citizens. He captioned it with, “History shows us it is possible to ask for forgiveness and work on a way forward.”

Black Coffee’s comments were interpreted as his way of referencing a successful apology and forgiveness exchange, which had helped close the divide between two communities. Fans believed that he was subliminally suggesting that the people in power openly apologise to the victims of social injustices in South Africa, in order for the country to be a united nation.

The tweets sparked an open conversation on social media, with his followers divided by his comments. Some believed that his reference to Apartheid was irrelevant, as many of the perpetrators had grown up in the rainbow nation. A follower stated, “Everything going on in SA and your still stuck at 26 years ago. You didn’t forgive nothing, else you wouldn’t be talking about it, and it would’ve been long forgotten.” Bontle Phora followed with, “The moment you realise that forgiveness is about you not the other person. Not forgiving is like drinking poison and happy that the other person will die. Forgiveness is about freeing yourself not the other person. It’s about protecting your own peace.”

The conversation garnered major attention on social media, with many continuing to voice their opinions about Black Coffee’s suggestion to end systemic racism. The moment you realise that forgiveness is about you not the other person. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and happy that the other person will die. Somizi: There Is A Little Bit Of Truth In The Clicks Ad He still doesn’t think it’s right!

South African media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, has weighed in on the Clicks saga that has gripped the nation for the past week. Whilst overall agreeing with the outrage felt by South Africans, the Idols judge took time out of his busy schedule on Monday, 7 September 2020 to share his opinion on the subject matter.

Somizi began by emphasising the fact that he did not agree with the ad campaign, and that it was undeniably racist. He believed that if they had used women of the same race to demonstrate healthy and unhealthy hair, it would have made much more sense, however, due to the fact that they had labelled black women’s hair as damaged, it was inexcusable.

The media star was cautious in laying down his overall feelings first, before sharing a little more of his opinion which sided with the retail company. He stated that black people tend to treat their hair often, leaving it damaged because of the products – which is why they had referenced to the black woman’s hair as unhealthy.

He went on to explain that black South Africans have had a history of being too forgiving, which has resulted in them being mistreated over the years. He predicted that once the issue has blown over, people will return to Clicks to purchase their cosmetics, as they would have forgiven the company for their misdemeanour. Somizi believed that it was because of this behaviour, people feel as though they can use black people as example in negative situations, as it is assumed that they would move on from it.

He stated, “Clicks are not the first ones and they definitely will not be the last ones because the reason why the world disrespects us is because we tolerate sh*t and we tolerate kak. We forgive very quickly. We have been taken as slaves and up to now, we are [at peace]. What you allow continues, we have allowed all of these things and it will continue. From the Apartheid government, we forgave. Racists know they can get away with [anything].”
