The award-winning muso Zakes Bantwini wants Emtee’s livelihood protected because of the talent he holds. The rapper found himself trending on Twitter despite his Twitter account being suspended and he has not been very active on Instagram.

Many could not figure out why the rapper has been trending even though he has disappeared from social media.

Bantwini talked about where his love for music stems from and why he is appreciative of Emtee’s music. Commended his humility and good music, Zakes wrote “SA, protect Emtee at all costs! What a respectful, humble young man. On top of that, the music is amazing!” said Bantwini.

He then spoke about where his passion for music lies, “It something I always loved, nasekhaya nje music was a thing. My late mother saw it in me and always pushed that if I love it so much I should study for it, then I did and the rest was history.”
Emtee has joined in on the trend, some think was started by Cassper Nyovest and AKA , of settling beefs in the boxing ring. He has followed suit and challenged Ambitiouz Entertainment founder Kgosi Mahumapelo to a match that would earn the winner a public apology, money and a trophy.

The Manado hitmaker claims that the founder Kgosi Mahumapelo has dragged his name through the mud and ruined his image. The only way to solve their differences is through a boxing match.

“Right now everyone thinks of me as a drug addict and it’s because of his company. I left the company and now suddenly I’m a drug addict? I’d like to think of myself as a gospel rapper because I motivate youngsters, but all of a sudden I’m a drug addict.

“This is all his work because I finally saw the light and left the label. My name has been dragged through the mud and I’m tired. I’m challenging him to a match and the winner will get the money, trophy and a public apology”

For the longest time fans have always suspected that DJ Maphorisa was overworking him. This follows after Kabza posted a promotional video last year, encouraging the masses to purchase tickets for the Porryland Neon Party, where they were going to release their new album.

Fans shaded Maphorisa and said he is the reason Kabza does not rest and look exhausted, but speaking to TshisaLive, Kabza rubbished the claims. “Exhaustion is definitely a false claim. I’m more alive and happy than I’ve ever been in my career.”

Maphorisa also denied claims that he is exploiting him “Haters want it down on platforms. Guys are jealous [of me] saying I am using Kabza. Why all this hate while everyone loves this project? Since Kabza started working with me has he ever missed a gig? So we don’t deserve it,” he tweeted.

Recently DJ Maphorisa told the DJ to rest. This follows after Kabza asked if he should release another project or he should wait.

Replying to his tweet Maphorisa sarcastically said “Rest rest rest rest mfowethu,” accompanied by laugh emojis.

The star-studded cast of the new soapie includes former Generations cast members including Sonia Mbele, Menzi Ngubane, Sophie Ndaba and Katlego Danke. They were also joined by veteran actress Michelle Botes, Mangaliso Ngema & Thembi Seete.

These veteran actors and actresses were unaware of the initial date the soapie would air as it was shot a long time ago and were not paid.

Daily Sun reports that an undisclosed source informed them that the cast was not promoting the soapie on their respective social media platforms as they were not paid for it and were completely sidelined.

One of the cast members, Menzi Ngbane told the publication that he was not aware that Family Secrets would play on SABC 1 on Sunday night. He said as far as he knows, production or shooting was halted due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Katlego Danke was also one of them who was not quiet left in the dark, said she only received a message from the production team that it would be airing in due time.

To make matters interesting, a legal battle is underway. This according to Sonia Mbele who could not comment as she made the publication aware of a legal matter that is going on.

When contacting the spokesperson of the broadcaster, Mmoni Seapolelo, they wipe themselves clean of any wrongdoing on their part, saying it is not SABC’s responsibility to pay actors. She also added that Family Secrets is a licensed property therefore this matter is handled by the production house responsible.

The show got some mixed reviews form viewers with some of them complaining about the quality, others criticizing the story line saying the actors are not suited for it. Many agreed that having too many famous actors playing as lead, takes away from the series and makes it not-exciting.

However for many, on Twitter many are distracted by the fact that lead actor Mangaliso Ngema bagged a role even with sexual assault allegations hanging over his head.

The new telenovela has another lead actor however viewers are not to happy about his casting. Playing Caesar Mokwena – the continent’s richest banker- disgraced actor Mangaliso Ngema has many questioning why is he still getting gigs but he has sexual abuse allegations hovering over him.

Many believe that he doesn’t deserve to be on television until he is proven innocent or cleared. Mangaliso was fired from e.tv’s Lithapo following an outcry from beloved actress and television personality Lorraine Moropa, who opened up being sexually harassed by a senior actor on the set of Lithapo, who happened to be Mangaliso.
