The River that airs on OneMagic every weekdays at 8pm is one of Mzansi’s favourite soapies of all times. The lead actors include the famous Sindi Dlathu, best known for her former character on SABC 2 Muvhango as Thandaza Buthelezi. In addition, Lawrence Maleka, Hlomla Dandala, Presley Chweneyagae are also part of the lead actors. Not forgetting the rising star, Larona Moagi who plays Itumeleng Mokoena on the show. The latter actor has been reported to be leaving the show after facing a lot of backlash due to her acting skills.

The River’s fans have complained non stop about how she should have taken more acting classes before taking on such a huge role on the show. Now that Lunga Shabalala who played Lindani on the show has left, fans feel as though Tumi’s acting skills have become more horrible after there’s no one else to compare her to.

Moshidi who played Malefu was also fired from the show after she found it hard to work with Larona due to her acting skills. Moshidi raised her concerns to the producers but instead of hearing her out, they chose to kill her character instead.

It is no secret, Larona has no skills in acting as she holds a Law degree from Wits University yet she was given a leading role. It really is true, it is not what you know, but who you know that opens doors for you!
