Minnie Dlamini in ‘love with her body’ after giving birth

Minnie Dlamini has a newfound appreciation for her body after giving birth to her first child, saying she is not obsessed with meeting societal standards.The media personality welcomed her son Netha Makhosini Jones in 2020 with her now estranged husband Quinton Jones and spoke of how she had become body-positive in contrast to how she felt when she was younger.The 33-year-old beauty took to Instagram to tell her nearly 5.2 million followers: “The older I get the more I love my body! After having my son and seeing the amazing things my body can do, I have an unimaginable appreciation for it.


 
“My body is much more beautiful to me than it has ever been. The reality is things aren’t the same, but this is the youngest my body will ever be!

“I spent my 20s self-conscious and obsessed with meeting societal standards and expectations of what my body should look like, and looking back I’m like ‘Girl you were perfect and you missed it!’ So I’ve decided to love my body now more than ever before! Falling in love with me.”

Seasoned actress Phindile Gwala is topping trends after she posted a thirst trap photo on Instagram. No doubt the photo has since flooded social media, and Mzansi was more than convinced that she is as pretty as a picture.

Death, divorce, depression: Actor on hardships after ‘Generations’

Former Generations actor, Thabiso Mokhethi who used to play the role of Samuel on the SABC 1’s telenovela recently opened up about some of the hardships he has experienced in life after leaving the local soapie.

Thabiso Mokhethi was interviewed on Gogo Skotheni’s The Venting Podcast where he got candid about some of the challenges he has faced in life including losing faith in God, going through an unwanted divorce, and losing all his immediate family members.

 

 
“My wife was my best friend, my kids were my friends, we travelled together, did everything together. But when the money stopped coming in, it seemed the love started fizzling away. The respect lessened and the arguments increased — instead of growing together, my ex-wife and I were growing apart. So, all these things happened after leaving Generations.The 41-year-old explained that because he is an artist, he couldn’t find the inspiration to bring out his best and find another job. He ended up not working for some time and eventually started feeling alone and depressed. At some point he was desperate because nothing was coming his way.

“I was trying, trying, trying, and I started being angry with God for taking away those things. I was losing my faith in God. The biggest thing that made me lose faith was losing my marriage,” he said.MORE ABOUT THE FORMER SANGOMA/ACTOR
Thabiso Mokhethi has previously been candid about his past with drug addiction and depression, TshisaLIVE reported. Whilst still going through the divorce that he didn’t want, the former Generations actor shared that his older brother was killed mysteriously, making him the only member left from his immediate family.

“So while I’m going through a divorce, my brother gets murdered. So from the Mokhethi family, I became the only one left. My mom and father died, my older brother just got murdered and the youngest died in a car accident with our mom. While I’m still going through that, my wife divorced me… that loneliness…that brokenness…and then you still remember, on top of all of this, I’ve got no job,” he shared.

Lindani Nkosi reflects on playing Moshe in ‘Takalani Sesame’

Actor Lindani Nkosi, who is popularly known for his roles in Isidingo and My Brother’s Keeper says he’s played Moshe in children’s series Takalani Sesame for 23 years.The Takalani Sesami puppeteer and actor Lindani Nkosi tells TshisaLIVE that he’s continued to appreciate the lovely and charming art of muppeteering since he got introduced to it when he was younger.


 

Nkosi who currently acts in Mzansi Magic’s popular telenovela, Brother’s Keeper adds that he’s been playing Moshe for over twenty years.

“I have been playing the character of Moshe since Takalani Sesame season one, which debuted in 2000. The funny thing is that I have continued to appreciate this lovely and charming art form ever since.”

“Seeing the looks on the faces of many South Africans when they learn that I have been playing Moshe, the enormous yellow meerkat, all along makes it much more fun now. It resembles a well-kept secret.”

Nkosi also reveals that one of the greatest thrills of his acting career has been participating in the magic created at Takalani Sesame, because a great deal of effort is put into ensuring that the final product is of a high quality.
