Magistrates Thandi Thendi has finaly granted Prophet Shepard Bushiri and his wife Mary a bail of R200,000 each and the co-accused number 2 Zethu mxolo has been granted bail of R20,000.

Prophet Bushiri and his wife still face other charges of theft and money-laundering to the value of R100 million, and on Monday state argued the couple is flight risk.

Two weeks ago the leader of ECG Prophet Shepard Bushiri handed himself over to the hawks and this is after his wife Mary was arrested by the hawks. The couple are accused in connection with fraud and money laundering.

Many of Bushiri supporters were gethering outside Pretoria Magistrate Court to celebrate the victory of passing of bail for thier Prophet and the excitement stated when the state announced the passing of the bail. The followers were told not to speak to the media as they waut for thier leader to come out.

Pastor Mboro who also came out in support of Shapard Bushiri also said Bushiri will be granted bail. Mboro was speaking outside Pretoria Magistrate Court.
