I am saddened to hear that South African music superstar Zahara has died.
She touched so many hearts with her beautiful music and sung about issues that we all could relate to.

May her soul Rest in Peace.On Monday, Sunday World reported that Zahara passed away by her fiancée Mpho Xaba’s side at a private hospital in Johannesburg.

Zahara had been hospitalised for two weeks with liver complications but her situation deteriorated during her stay in hospital.According to a source known Sunday World, the Loliwe hitmaker passed away just before 9pm on Monday night.

“The family will release a statement soon. She was with Mpho when she passed away,” said the source.

ZAHARA’S FAMILY RELEASED A STATEMENT LAST WEEK
Just last week, Zahara’s family released a statement pleading with the public to stop spreading disingenuous information on the internet.

“Unfortunately, even though our daughter’s hospitalisation has been of strict confidentiality within our family and close friends, that hasn’t stopped the spread of disingenuous information on the internet.

“We want to stress that any reliable information regarding Zahara’s health will be communicated via her official social media platforms or by herself,” read the statement.

The South African website would like to send its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Zahara and the entire music industry.
