When asked if he had any plans to leave the nation after leaving Eskom in an explosive interview that aired on e-TV on Tuesday, De Ruyter responded, “I think that will be healthy for my health.”

 

He was let go from his job “with immediate effect,” as Eskom said on Wednesday night, one month sooner than anticipated.

After a special board meeting, Eskom claimed that the decision was mutual.

Van Ruyter is quitting Eskom after speaking out about systemic wrongdoing there in an interview.

He claimed that the ANC is aware of and supports corruption at the highest levels.

“The bemusement and perplexity people leave meetings with foreign diplomats and investors create a significant challenge for South Africa’s credibility,” he added in the interview with e-TV.

De Ruyter further asserted that four rime groups in Mpumalanga steal over R1 billion each month from Eskom.

“Between 60 and 70 highly skilled and well-armed individuals make up their hit squad. In Mpumalanga, murders occur frequently “he stated.

De Ruyter was recently poisoned after experiencing fainting and confusion while at the offices; physicians later discovered significant quantities of cyanide in his bloodstream.
