Family is everything when it comes to Mamelodi Sundowns central midfielder Bongani Zungu who is one of the upper echelons in the football fratenity in South Africa.

The product of the now defunct Dynamos Development Academy has been using the off season to make up for lost time by spending time with his family who have always been there for him even before stardom.

As expected, the 30 year old Duduza born footballer has been using his official social media account to document these special moments.

What’s the story?

On Thursday evening, the Mamelodi Sundowns jersey number 8 took to his Instagram stories where he shared a photo where he had visited his mother in his luxurious family home.

From a different post on his Instagram stories, what we learned is that Bongani Zungu was accompanied by his celebrity girlfriend and popular actress Cindy Mahlangu and their shared almost one year old son.

When it comes to Bongani Zungu’s football career, “Ben 10” as he is affectionately known as did not have an impressive first half of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season in terms of his capabilities and in terms of accumulating game time minutes in the colours of the Chloorkop based outfit.

 

 

 

According to his player profile on 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, Bongani Zungu who can also play as a defensive midfielder and an attacking midfielder made 5 appearances in all competitions in the first half of the current campaign without finding the back of the net and without creating any goal scoring assist.
